There are many who claim to have “deep
insight” into the Bible. This insight causes these individuals to believe that
they have miraculous knowledge concerning events that will occur. It could be
this person claims the Lord’s return on a specific day or perhaps some other
great event. Sadly, if one were to investigate the claims these individuals
have made in the past, that one would see countless times that a promise is
made with no results. Why do the masses continue to listen to said individuals?
A lack of knowledge to what the Bible really states on these subjects. If only
people were willing to follow the advice which Moses gave to the children of
Israel. “
When a prophet speaketh in the name of
the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou
shalt not be afraid of him” (Deut.
18:22).
